Craft Victoria presents works made over the past eight years by Greer Honeywill.
Greer Honeywill makes child's play of our compulsive need to colonise the land, as she explores the blemished surface of suburbia and the complex concept of 'home'. The works, made predominantly of wood, include a vocabulary of craft techniques usually associated with the creation of the timber frame for the domestic dwelling. A miniature retrospective, Against the Grain will showcase works made over the past eight years for the first time. The centrepiece of the exhibition is a spectacular eleven metre long floor piece entitled Carpet, made of thousands of child-sized pieces of wood.
