Prior to the Powerhouse Museum Lorentz worked in a range of architectural/design practices, both large and small. Throughout her career she has maintained an interest in the area of interpretive design practice, in particular the exploration of spatial narratives and immersive experiences. Lorentz first joined the museum as an exhibition designer and worked on a wide range of exhibitions before becoming the Senior Designer/Manger of the Design Department in 1997.
