Currently Director of the Hawke’s Bay Museum & Art Gallery, Lloyd Jenkins is one of New Zealand’s most highly respected design writers. He specialises in restoring to prominence overlooked practitioners of the arts, architecture and design who contributed enormously to the creation of contemporary New Zealand culture.

Lloyd Jenkins is well known through his design and architecture columns in The New Zealand Herald, New Zealand Listener, Home & Entertaining and journals and as the face of TVNZ’s The Big Art Trip. TVNZ made a documentary series based on his publication, At Home: a century of New Zealand Design, which won the Montana Book Award in the non-fiction & history category in 2005.
