Through our collaboration with Workshopped, the Object Ground Floor has been transformed into a designer in residence studio. Over the next year, several talented designers will take up the challenge of exposing the design process and move into the space for 8–12 week periods.
The latest designer in residence, Sydney creative Bianca Spiegel, wears many hats. If she’s not in her studio painting and sculpting pieces of art, she’s styling food, interior and lifestyle shots, designing graphics for magazines and clients and running her online stationery trader and soon-to-be print shop, LetterboxCo.
With a degree in Fine Arts from the Sydney College of the Arts, Bianca also built on her oil painting and drawing skills by enrolling in an intensive art course at Paris’s renowned Ecole De Beaux-Arts (School of Fine Arts). Based in Sydney, Bianca found her way towards a career in interior styling and graphic design, offering her “artist’s touch” in a commercial and advertising environment at ACP Magazines.
Bianca is constantly working on personal projects and collaborating with other creative professionals, and is currently embarking on more freelance work.
The design residency with Workshopped will give Bianca the opportunity to produce new products for her business as well as showcase her art and craft skills, make handmade products and incorporate her art into the mix.
