Would you like to experience the full process involved in making a television or film documentary? Over 3 or 6 weeks this course will take you through from beginning to end.

Following a brief history of documentary, you will then work through how to create a documentary beginning with pre-production treatment and planning. Production will explore camera fundamentals, composition, framing, lighting, location sound and exploring production roles as a class. Finally you will individually edit the class work utilising the industry standard Final Cut Pro (on Mac) in post production.

This course is ideal for beginners and people who wish to upgrade their documentary video production skills. You will film and produce a documentary as a class and experience working in a variety of crewing positions. You will then individually edit your documentary and export your final movie to take away with you on your hard drive or as a DVD.
