&Company 2 DAY COURSE, SATURDAY 14 & 21 JULY

Learn to design, layout, carve and finish a ring and pendant or brooch! This course is designed for beginners, but advanced students may join the class and work independently.

Beginners will be guided through the process of designing and carving a ring from wax, and if time permits, a pendant or brooch. All wax projects will be sent to a commercial caster to be reproduced in sterling silver. Learn fundamental metalsmithing and wax carving skills including saw piercing, filing and polishing. Advanced students are encouraged to bring their new or existing projects to class for assistance and guidance. Refresh fundamentals and learn new skills such as basic settings for stones, soldering and making findings for cast projects as per individual project needs.

Each student will finish the course having completed one, if not two projects.

Class will run Saturday 14 & Saturday 21, 10:30am – 5:pm (with 30 minute break)
