The L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival (LMFF), together with Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI), Portable.tv and Federation Square, is pleased to announce the launch of the inaugural LMFF Fashion Film Series, designed to showcase innovative and exciting Australian Fashion Films at the 2013 Festival.
The Fashion Film Series will form an integral part of the LMFF Cultural Program which runs for the the entire month of March and the Festival is putting the call out for filmmakers across the country to submit short fashion films for selection. The Cultural Program is a highly regarded platform for creative initiatives that explore fashion and art and has become a highlight of the Festival program.
From the submissions, a panel of experts will select up to 15 films to be screened throughout the Festival by LMFF, Portable.tv Federation Square and ACMI. These films will also be featured on a dedicated page on LMFF’s brand new website due to launch in December, and on the Official LMFF YouTube channel reaching millions of consumers.
The top six films will be included in the rotating film content on Federation Square’s big screens throughout March and will be shown as short films before feature length fashion films at ACMI as part of the LMFF Cultural Program. The same films will also be screened in regional areas across Victoria including Mildura and Bendigo.
