Teapot, earthenware, Bennett's Pottery, South Australia, 1920-1940

Teapot ("Globe" teapot), with cover, earthenware, with a flat base, globular body, flat strap loop handle and an erect and tapering spout, a short collar encircles the opening at top with inset ledge as a rest for the recessed circular cover (-2) set with a globular knop, the underside of cover with short vertical flange with pinched catch, "agate" style lead glazed with an all over glossy mid-brown Rockingham glaze featuring sponged lighter brown streaks around the shoulder and on the handle and spout, three spur marks under the base.
