Chair, childs, wood, originally owned by D.H. Souter, [New South Wales], Australia, c. 1905-1915

Child's wooden chair originally owned by Australian poet D.H. Souter. The chair is painted pale blue and features the carved and painted face of a black cat along the the flat top rail. The chair features five upright slats which extend to a wedge-shaped seat on tapered legs with back stretchers and side stretchers joined by two struts.
Production notes
The chair was made in Australia, possibly New South Wales, c. 1905 - 1915.
