Description
Dental drill, foot powered, S S White, USA, c 1900. Cast iron, painted, black; base includes foot pedal which connects to cast iron flywheel mounted on central column; at top of column is drill attachment, steel with rubber flex cord and stainless steel drill head.
Production notes
Made by S S White, USA, probably before 1900.
History notes
Used by dentist Cedric Salmon and by Basil Briscombe before him. Both had dental practices in Sydney (1890-1970).
