Description
Needlework samplers (2), embroidered linen, mounted, Annie and Mary Hull, Carcoar Public School, Carcoar, NSW, Australia, c 1900. Two small rectangular white linen embroidered samplers worked in multicoloured threads, mounted onto cream covered foamcore mounting board. The samplers demonstrate different stitching techniques; feather, blanket, button, hole stem, button wheel, running and darning. The left sampler worked by Annie Hull, the right sampler by Mary Hull, both of Carcoar Public School.Acquisition credit line
