Button, and clip, brass, 70th Regiment of Foot, British Army, Smith Kemp Wright, Birmingham, England, found Wentworth Park, New South Wales, Australia, prior to 1870. Button (/1), with convex back, inscribed with '70' on obverse and manufacturer's name on obverse. Metal clip (/2), attached to loop on obverse of button. The 70th Regiment did not serve in NSW but detachments came out with convicts as guards. Ex L. Barton collection.Production notes
