Koala figure, earthenware, Bennett Pottery, South Australia, 1930-1940.
Koala figure, seated in a tree branch base, forearms clawing the branch stump and head turned. Lead glazed with a rich mid-brown Rockingham glaze, the underside is unglazed.

Original black and silver printed paper label adhered to koala's back "BENNETT POTTERY / ART / ADELAIDE".
